Northern Resource Trucking Limited Partnership
Started in 1986 by the Lac La Ronge Indian Band and Trimac Transportation, NRT is a partnership that now involves many aboriginal groups, including Metis, Dene and Cree. NRT began as a transport company specifically designed to provide service to the world's largest, publicly traded mining companies of Saskatchewan's north. Our two largest customers, Cameco Corporation and Areva, rely on NRT to provide safety and service in some of the most demanding driving conditions that the full four seasons can provide.
We have hundreds of trucks and trailers including dry bulkers, propane, petroleum, sulphur, chemical, flat decks, low beds and reefers. Our drivers handle every trial that nature and man can throw at them, and NRT's safety record is second to none. Around the clock, all year, NRT drivers cover the immense distances to northern mine sites hauling consumables, mining materials, dry or liquid bulk commodities, machinery and over-dimensional loads for the companies that mine the region's rich resources. We have trained many northern Saskatchewan residents to become first rate drivers. The mining industry relies on NRT for safe transportation service in some of the most demanding driving conditions on earth.
